The best solution to this problem is to change how you park. Instead of parking nose down, try putting your RV slightly nose up when it rains. This way, the water won’t roll from the top of the metal roof down to the pop-top.
3. Tiny Refrigerator
Winnebago Solis motorhomes are small camper vans, so expect to have a compact refrigerator. More specifically, the new 59PX model has a fridge that’s just 3 cubic feet in size. You can only fit in a few drinks and fruits to last you for your trip.
To circumvent the issue, consider bringing a cooler. Use the space in your mini-fridge for your meat and veggies, while the cooler should be reserved for drinks. You can also consider munching on canned goods.
4. Heating System Only Works in Gas
The heating system is another reliability problem of Winnebago Solis. The RV is built with Truma Combi eco, which only works with LP gas. You should ensure to have an ample supply of gas during the cold days.
Keep in mind that the van has plenty of insulation gaps around the doors and windows. To prevent the heater from leaking, insulate the van properly by replacing any loose rubber seals and patching any holes with a sealant.
