What is a SOG II ?
What is a SOG Type 2?
The SOG II is an evolution of the SOG toilet kits, designed to allow installation in vans where space is constrained within the toilet compartment and thereby not allowing enough room behind the door for the fan motor and also the SOG II allows venting through the floor in cases where the awning is on the same side as the toilet cupboard preventing unsavoury aromas drifting around whilst you are entertaining!
The installation is practically the same within the toilet compartment i.e. the microswitch / toilet cassette modifications etc, but the filter instead of being a rectangular piece of carbon activated material encased in an external plastic rectangular housing which has the fan motor behind is now instead vented downwards through a large green cylindrical filter (approx 11cm diameter by 11cm height) which has either the SOG II Fan Motor mounted in the top or can be retro fitted and the older style SOG 1 fan motor can be installed in the top of the filter (although you will need space at the side as the inlet for the SOG I motors is at a right angle.
A hole (28mm diameter) is then drilled in the floor of the van to fit the filter outlet pipe which can be either directly below the filter using the rigid plastic outlet pipe or extended using flexible pipe to a suitable place and then using the rigid pipe.
A SOG I can be converted to a SOG II kit using a SOG 1 - SOG II Conversion kit and either re-using your existing SOG Fan (but with possible issues due to the inlet connection being at right angles or by using a SOG II Fan. We also sell the flexible convoluted hose needed to extend to a suitable location.
