Gaslow is the easy to use and convenient way of carrying gas in motorhomes or caravans, Gaslow systems are easily installed into most vehicles depending on locker and vehicle design.
Gaslow Installation can be done either by competent DIY'ers or we can install the Gaslow system for you at the Outdoor Bits workshop in Exmouth, Devon.
Gaslow Installation Options
When installing a Gaslow system you can tailor it to your needs and we are able to advise you on your purchase, here are the following common options.
- Changeover Valves - Generally customers who wish to have a twin bottle system installed will find that having a changeover valve makes life a little easier as with an automatic valve there is no physical action involved when switching between empty cylinders i.e. no spannering or going outdoors in the rain!
- Stainless steel or rubber hoses? When installing a Gaslow system it oftens pays to consider going for stainless steel hoses as generally when installed the Gaslow system is pretty much fit and forget for some and may not be looked at that often. Rubber hoses are designed to last 5 years and then be replaced as a rule, over time the rubber hoses break down and leach gas out adding a smell of gas to the gas locker and can contribute to regulator failure. Going for stainless steel hoses from the get-go means you don't have to worry about replacing them for 15 years.
- External or Internal filling point? For ease of use and remaining inconspicuous an external filling point is the way to go if possible. You can install the filling point on the external part of the gas locker door providing you use the longer filling kit and right angle adaptor (PN 01-4210). Internal filling points are usually if there is no way of having an external filler fitted and can be installed onto the mounting bracket (01-4160).
