Best iPhone Apps for Motorhomers
Smartphones are here to stay and most customers in our workshop nowadays have a smartphone of sorts.
Alongside these are the tablets which lots of motorhomers have tucked away inside their vans.
We use a selection of smartphone apps to assist us in our role as fitters and many motorhome owners also have their favourite apps.
Our favourite Apple iPhone/iPad apps for motorhoming are as follows:-
Truma App – FREE and gives a whole host of information pertaining to Truma products and has built in Sun alignment and Levelling tools.
Alde App – FREE and has guides to the Alde range of products, links to support network and a dealer locator based on gps of your phone
iSatFinder – This app simplifies the process of finding a satellite by giving you the correct skew angle to set based on your gps location
DP AR Pro (Dishpointer) – Dishpointer is a must have for anyone manually trying to get a satellite signal and uses Augmented Reality views which means you hold your phone up and scan across the sky and it superimposes the location of the satellites over the camera image making it a doddle to find the relevant satellite and can also be used by those with automatic satellite systems to quickly and easily ascertain if anything might be in the way when choosing a pitch on a site.
IOS 8 in built compass app also has a neat hidden levelling system which is accessed by scrolling left and you are presented with two pale white circles which when you level the phone converge and show a decreasing difference percentage number and once absolute level is achieved the screen turns full Green.
Some people use smartphone sat nav apps to navigate around, whereas others use their phone apps to find campsites.
SiteSeeker is the Camping and Caravanning Club official app
Campsites and Caravan Parks is a neat app to find campsites from
There are many campsite location apps out there, which is your favourite or are there any other apps you use when out and about that we should add to this list ?
