Dangers of Pressure Washing your motorhome or caravan

Had a customer in recently who takes her van to a Polish (that’s the country not the spray) car wash and pays to have her motorhome “cleaned” by them.

The issue is that they clamber up on ladders and then use pressure washers on the roof, this attacks any seals and is an absolute no-no

The end result is that her solar panel has a junction box affixed to the underside of it (as is common on aluminium framed glass panels) and over time the pressure washers had loosened the sealant with the end result being the cabling exposed on the roof as shown below.
