Our Outdoorbits Motorhome

Euramobil Integra Motorhome

Finally after what seems like an age of deliberation we have ourselves a Motorhome.

Countless months considering would we get enough use out of one to make it worthwhile (working in the industry makes us very busy in the peak summer season and so hard to get time off), on top of this managing / administering the Motorhome Facts Community meant zero time available.

After our handover last year of Motorhome Facts we had the time and now we have the van !

Our Euramobil Integra 866 is a return to the fold of the German manufacturer for me having full timed in a similar albeit smaller vehicle for over 2 years mid 2000s. Our old Euramobil was the 690HB Model which is about a metre smaller and lighter chassis.

The Euramobil 866 is built on the excellent Mercedes chassis with a 6 Tonne overall max weight, comes with Air brakes which took some getting used to and is RHD. It’s a fairly big van at 8.4m long but very robust and remapped to be torquey when required and able to climb the hills more easily.

It came fitted as standard with an assortment of aftermarket accessories and we have spent the last few months compiling and working through installing a wishlist of ‘goodies’. The van now has fitted the following:-

Oyster SunMover tracking Solar Panel
Oyster Vision Automatic Satellite System
Nature Pure Water Filtration System
Waeco RVS 794 Twin Lens Reversing camera
Two Avtex L216DRS 12v TVs (One in the Bedroom and One in the Lounge Area)
SOG Toilet Eco Friendly System
Gaslow Twin Refillable R87 Bottle System

Some of the things that attracted me to it are firstly the huge payload (useful for hiring and also family trips), the layout (Large Island bed at the rear and Pulldown Overcab Bed) and the Build Quality (Having lived for 2 years in a similar vehicle from the same manufacturer It was testament to the quality)

We will be using the motorhome as a demo facility as it has many of the accessories we stock and install, and also as a mobile office / accommodation when any of us attend training courses / trade shows and finally as it will be under utilised we will also be offering it for hire purposes throughout the year as a very well equipped motorhome for hire.
