Windblocker Sunshades Corner Room (Size 6)
Windblocker Sunshades Corner Room (Size 6)
The Windblocker Sunshades Corner Room is a pack containing the front and a single side panel to make up a "corner room" from the Windblocker Sunshades slide-in strips. The corner room is ideal for getting in and out without too much trouble as well as blocking wind from one direction.
The sunshades themselves are 75cm wide and are paired up to make panels, this is done by simply sliding them into the awnings rails which will create a draught free safari room.
Windblocker Sunshades can be fitted to most awnings such as Fiamma and Prostor awnings which have channelling for camp rooms and safari rooms.

Windblocker Sunshades come in several different colours and sizes, when ordering please choose the require colour and size based on your awnings width. Using the Windblocker Sunshades you can prevent unwanted insects getting into your motorhome or caravans awning.
The material used to produce the Windblocker Sunshades has been used in the past to protect bulbs and flower fields, this allows light in but keeps draughts out. Can be simply erected in minutes using the elasticised tie downs and pegs. The Windblocker Sunshades are extremely lightweight and easy to fit - they can be simply rolled or folded down into a small space.

When fitting the Windblocker Sunshade corner room kit you will need two poles for the ends of the safari room - these are not available to order due the odd dimensions and damage in transport - these are easily obtainable from any hardware shop or ironmongers. Poles such as those used to prop up clothes lines are ideal as they are light weight and strong aluminium poles.
If your using a Fiamma Awning you may want to consider using the Fiamma Awning Tie Down Kit.
You've most likely seen these on display at shows, last year at the NEC October '09 these were being demonstrated with a hurricane fan and candles - the candles were set behind the sunshades and the hurricane fan didn't affect them in the slightest.

We purchased our windblocker set (front panel and each end) last autumn and therefore have only had the opportunity to use it the once. However, we found it did what it claimed, it blocked the wind (and it was a very windy weekend) to the point where we could comfortably sit in the “awning” and we were impressed at the difference between being behind the awning and outside.
We also had some very heavy rain whilst the blocker was up and although the material was obviously thoroughly wet, the rain didn’t penetrate into the “room” except where something was actually touching the fabric.
We have the green colour and we found visibility through the netting to be reasonable in that we had a good view out whereas it was probably more difficult to see in.
We did find that as it was so windy that the screens gaped at the corners and we solved this by fastening the blocker to the awning legs with clips. The lack of a door did not cause too much of a problem, being able to squeeze into the small gap on one side of the front when we wanted to enter/exit.
Having had experience of a privacy room, we found the blockers served a similar purpose for us, albeit less “sturdy”, and can be packed into the smallest of packages for storage. Another advantage being that they dry quickly and if it is necessary to pack away when wet this doesn’t cause a problem.
