How the SOG System Works
The SOG ventilator is switched on as soon as the blade valve starts to open and is switched off again when the blade valve is closed. The fact that no smells can leave the waste holding tank is brought about by - as soon as the ventilator is switched on there is a suction effect in the waste holding tank which draws in fresh air through the blade valve. This down-flow acts as a seal and prevents the gases and smells from rising. The fresh air that is drawn in removes the new odours in the toilet bowl when it is being used.
The decomposition process for sewage and toilet paper is accelerated by the increased flow of oxygen so that no additional chemicals are required. Ordinary toilet paper, not special for chemical toilets, should be used so that this is decomposed completely.
The exhaust ventilator with its motor has been specially developed for sanitary systems. The power consumption, 0.43 watt, is very low.
The SOG Motorhome Toilet Ventilation System is the ecological solution for motorhome and caravan toilets.
Advantages over standard chemical toilets:-
- It is 100% chemical free.
- Low running costs as ordinary toilet paper can be used and no chemicals needed.
- Low power consumption
- Flexibility when wild camping etc as no requirement to use a chemical WC Toilet emptying point and normal toilets can be used for emptying due to the lack of chemicals. You can also empty whenever the chance arises safe in the knowledge that a fresh batch of chemicals isnt going to be wasted.
- Unwanted aromas no longer present inside motorhome even when SOG System is in use.
- Emptying process easier as the contents of the cassette are decomposed more than without SOG.
There are four kits for cassette type toilets and one kit for permanently installed tanks. These SOG Toilet kits have been constructed using traditional German engineering and know-how.
All Thetford waste holding tanks can be modified for the SOG toilet ventilation system.
The equipment makes the use of chemicals superfluous : optimal decomposition is guaranteed and unpleasant odours are removed including during use.
SOG Kit Type A for Cassette Types C2/C3/C4
NOTE: This is a self fitting kit for your existing thetford cassette. It is a very simple fitting process.
The kit comprises the following parts:-
- SOG adapter to fit to the cassette
- Fan for airflow that is integrated into the locker door
- Hose section that allows air to travel from the cassette to the fan
- Carbon filter that fits to the locker door and removes aroma passing through the fan .

The special duct supplied with this kit for the C200 allows ventilation through the roof. The parts that we supply are standard parts for waste pipes, available at camping shops.

Q1. What are the dimensions of the Filter Housing (The plate that covers the filter on the outside of the cassette compartment door)
A1. The filter housing is 7" High X 5 1/4" Wide, It can be fitted either horizontally or vertically (Some Rapido vans for instance require horizontal fitting)

this piece of equipment is one of the best purchases i have made.it removes all smells from the toilet compartment and no nasty niffs drift into the living area ,could do with one in the home!!
if you are thinking of getting one, dont, just do it you will not regret it.

Very quick delivery from Outdoor Bits. Parts checked over and all found to be correct.
Read through instructions and then re read them stood at side of motorhome so as to identify different parts that they were talking about.
Found the instructions very easy to understand.
I have got a Burstner Delphin T700 where the toilet access door is in the back wall of the motorhome and it did make it a fairly simple operation.
Fitting only took a maximum of 1 hour from start to finish (and that was in the rain!)
Very pleased with the results. Certainly no smell from toilet unit and it also keeps the bathroom smelling sweeter.
Can't say whether it is a saving on toilet fluid, as I am still putting a little in each time as I have got 3 bottles of the stuff. Time will tell.
Have used it for about 30 days since installation and can find no "down" side to it.
Wish I had fitted one ages ago. Thoroughly recommended.

HI.
EXCELLENT SYSTEM,fitted in approx one hour,only problem was with outer filter door of which the top plastic lugs broke off as the filter was too thick to close door,door was replaced ok.
excellent service from outdoor bits....no instructions on how to fit with locker door hinges at bottom of door.took a while to figure out.system working ok.would recommend sog system.....

Brilliant! Works as described. My toilet compartment door is hinged on the right which means the flexible pipe is quite a bit shorter, propably a good thing.

System is excellent. The instructions were quite clear and precise if you had a left or right handed door. Unfortunately my door has hinges at bottom (Autosleeper) and this caused a major headache as no instructions/measurements were available for my unit. It was a case of measure again and again just to be sure. It took over 4 hours to get the measurements right as you can only visualise where it will sit. As you will be aware, once you drill hole in bodywork thats it, you have committed yourself. However now fitted and all is well.
