Oyster Digital 85cm Twin LNB Autoskew Satellite System
The Oyster digital satellite system gives ease of use coupled with technical specs unrivalled in satellite tv.
The Oyster digital twin LNB gives you the choice of either running 2 satellite receivers in different locations or a recording device such as a Sky+ box to ensure you can record unmissable programs.
The Oyster Twin Digital includes an integrated universal satellite decoder which is preset with 46 different satellites and features OBSC functionality which automatically switches satellite when the channel is changed.
When the Oyster Digital Twin Autoskew system is switched off the Oyster dish closes and stows itself away. All control electronics are incorporated into the Oyster receiver.
Available as either a 65cm or 85 cm system, this is a true DIGITAL system with a "Free to View" Digital Satellite receiver supplied as standard. Even without a "Digibox" this systems offers thousands of channels, both visual and radio from a wide range of European satellites. Together with fully integrated digital positioner, the entire operation of this system is carried out through the remote control communicating with a remote eye that can be mounted discretely within the vehicle.
A DVB-Compatible digital receiver (Digibox) can also be connected allowing access to a full range of English channels including BBC, ITV etc. All Oyster Digital Autoskew systems are fitted with a Twin LNB allowing you the means to receive two signals simultaneously.
Optimum range is possible thanks to the Auto SKEW option: For optimum reception in peripheral areas of the western and eastern vacation regions of Europe, a rotation of the LNB into the suitable direction is helpful. By adjusting the skew of the lnb the polarization loss angle resulting from the Earth’s curvature can be compensated for.
With the Oyster Digital Auto SKEW setup there is no need for you to have to consider skew anymore as it is all carried out automatically.
The Oyster Digital Twin’s 85cm satellite dish can be permanently fitted on the roof of any leisure vehicle. When the system is switched-on using the infra-red remote control, the Oyster’s dish will erect itself, then automatically go back to its last reception position. If the dish fails to receive a signal in that position, it immediately starts an automatic signal seek.
Turning the system off or starting the engine will lower the dish to the parked stowed position. The hub of the system is a one-box control system operated by remote control and incorporating a ‘Free to Air’ Digital receiver. As its name suggests, this system is equipped with a digital Twin L.N.B. so that two receivers can be connected at the same time without conflict or having to operate an external L.N.B. switch. One output is connected to the Oyster’s own digital receiver whilst the other can be connected to a DigiBox so that encrypted programmes (which require a viewing card) can be watched.
