Solar Panels work inefficiently purely because they cannot always be at 90 degrees to the sun that powers them.
Because the angle of a solar panel to the sun greatly affects its performance, the ideal solution would be a panel which constantly adjusts itself as the sun moves across the sky. This is exactly what the Alden Sunpower Phenix does, automatically tracking the sun and ensuring that the panel is always performing at maximum efficiency.
Test results show that this unit will produce as much as 5 times more power than a flat panel in the same location at the same time.
When the Alden Sunpower Phenix is down in the travel position, it will continue to charge the battery in the same way as a fixed flat panel.
When the sun goes down or when the vehicle’s engine is started, the Alden Sunpower Phenix panel will automatically lower itself and lock itself into a safe position.
Supplied with a regulator and wiring.
