Thank you for the books.
I have had a look at the book including for France, in particular Isere region. I do find it rather difficult to locate some of the campsites on the map. For one thing the French maps (IGN) don\'t seem as convenient as UK OS maps for grid ref\'s. I used the lat/long figures, but there seem be be big gaps between references on the side of the map, which makes it more difficult to estimate exact positions. I also seem to recall reading that the ref\'s in the ACSI books were based on on the zero meridian through Greenwich, but I think it is actually the French zero meridian through Paris, any way the maps agree with the book. Well I know you can\'t do anything about existing maps, but a ref to the nearest large town, with distance and direction would make it easier to locate the camp sites. There are also about five French departments grouped together in the book, which means that one has to sort through all, to get to the dept. that one is interested in. Obviously there is a problem when looking for a camp site on the edge of a dept., but that will always be a problem. I was also a bit disappointed that there are not more camp sites listed, as I can see them marked on the maps, but no mention in the book. I suppose they don\'t wish to join up with ACSI.
Anyway it looks as if it will be a useful book.

We used the ACSI camping card last year and saved a huge amount on our camping holiday. The sites were all good and the card meant that we could afford to stay so much longer. We shall be using it again whenever we can travel in the low season.
